How can we move from more to nothing, from future to now, from there to here?

Everyday we are pushing ourselves so hard to achieve something, it gets more and more becoming a never ending task and we would feel depleted most of the time. And we these seems to be automated with a habit of compulsive thinking, eating, drinking, or smartphone usage etc. Don’t you find these patterns are repeated in life?
